Most of us go throught college lab courses taking scant notes in poor notebooks on scraps of paper, paper towels etc.
In industry however, lab notes can and do turn into patents, inventions and capital returns. Most science students do not receive adequate training in how or what industry expects. The 3 key words here are document,document, document. If it’s not written in your notebook,
then you didn’t do it!
Sounds harsh, and it is...but it is required if you work in the chemical industry. Start working on good habits now, it could mean your job.
