COURSE DESCRIPTION

The goal of Art History 111 is to provide a basis for the study of the history of art and architecture from circa 1300 to the Present. As a survey course, 111 provides a broad frame of reference for many periods of art. Prof. Rowlands is the primary course lecturer, but lecture will also be given by other faculty members from the Department of Art History. Instruction will be through lectures (MWF, 12-12:50pm, Lecture Center A-1) and discussion sections which meet once a week.
