union within the tissues of an antibody and
its specific antigen which forms a soluble
complex that fixes complement and attaches
to an endothelial surface - the blood vessel
wall
This attracts
neutrophils which liberate enzymes which
digest the vessel wall
Platelets adhere
and the total result is obstruction of
the vessel and hemorrhage
