UIC Department of Surgery

	This course is for surgeons who are interested in learning techniques for performing robotic-assisted laparoscopic procedures in general, thoracic and vascular surgery. The training is based on didactics, videos, surgery observation and laboratory sessions. The training program is designed for two surgeons and one or two physician assistants.

	This course is for surgeons who already have experience with the system and want to perform a dedicate two-days training focused to a specific procedure. The training is based on didactics, videos, surgery observation and laboratory sessions. This program is available for the following topics: Hepatobiliarypancreatic surgery, Thoracic surgery and GI Surgery. The training program is designed for two surgeons and one or two physician assistants.

	At UIC experienced and internationally renowned physicians are performing robotic surgery every day. Surgeons that are interested in starting a robotic surgery program at their institution or even surgeons that are already using the daVinci have the opportunity to come at UIC and observe the ultimate robotic techniques and approaches applied to a broad range of procedures. Our guests could have a flexible and custom made schedule: they will be totally free to decide how long they want to prolong their visit, how many surgeries they want to observe, which kind of specialties they want to explore and to deepen.
