Target Audience
This course is for surgeons who already have experience with the robotic system and need to be trained for its most advanced applications. The training is based on didactics, videos, surgery observation and laboratory sessions.
The training program is designed for two surgeons plus one or two physician assistants.
Course objectives
- Learn the standard setup of the robotic system and positioning of patient for the most advanced abdominal procedures;
- Learn the standard setup of the robotic system and positioning of patient for the thoracic procedures;
- Learn how to manage the most difficult steps of advanced robotic procedures;
- Become familiar with the technique of robotic assisted digestive and vascular anastomoses.
Teaching Staff
The teaching is performed by the faculty; all members have an extensive experience with robotic minimally invasive procedures. Training sessions consisted in a case observation part, where the training surgeons will assist procedures, and a laboratory session (dry and Animal).
