All application materials must be sent directly to the Department of Urban Planning and Policy Admissions Office so that they arrive by the appropriate dates.

Important message for applicants

Application materials submitted electronically and received before the deadline will not be acknowledged; the date and time of submission is contained in the email and it will be noted in your application file that the deadline was met. All UIC administrative offices and the CUPPA Hall building, including the Department of Urban Planning and Policy office, will be closed December 26, 2011 through January 3, 2012. Please do not attempt to contact anyone in UPP to confirm receipt of your materials. Directions for completing your application are on this page

Applicants will be updated regarding the status of credentials received by February 1, 2012.

The number of students admitted is limited. Admissions are selective and competitive. Submit your application early in order to receive fullest consideration. Detail for electronic submission (required) are on the How to Apply/MUPP page.

Notification of admission status for the MUPP program will be sent to the applicant by May 1 for applications received by March 15.
