GIS Mapping Specialist: New York Institute of Technology (NYIT)

I am currently writing an urban environmental history of JFK International Airport. As part of the project I have received a small grant ($3000) to hire a specialist in GIS mapping techniques to assist in the creation of historical and contemporary maps/charts that situate JFK in both the New York region and the history of aviation. I have already assembled significant amounts of data, but the potential research assistant would also help in further collection through internet databases, etc.

Work must be complete by December of 2009. Please contact Nicholas Dagen Bloom at nbloom@nyit.edu  if interested. Hours and location of work are completely flexible.
