Overview/WebStore

Site licensed software are available from the ACCC at lower costs than what you will find at retail stores.
Terms of the site license vary and all software is sold without manuals.

It is illegal to install one legal copy of the software on more than one machine.
You must purchase as many copies (or licenses) of the software as machines you plan to install the software on. LANs are not excluded although the wording in some instances changes to: you must have enough licenses to cover concurrent uses of the software.

Visit the WebStore website to place an order: http://webstore.illinois.edu/

Software purchased from the ACCC is nonrefundable. Software purchased from the ACCC cannot be returned for any reason, except for an even exchange (upon aproval from the ACCC).

For information on how to place an order via WebStore visit the General Software Sales Procedures Webpage.

This document is solely for the purpose of ACCC site licensed software and does not apply to software sold by other vendors.

ESRI Online Classes
UIC students, faculty, and staff can sign up for free ESRI GIS Software Courses Online.

Because of UIC's campus-wide site license with ESRI, one of the principal producers of geographic information systems (GIS) software, as of August 15, 2001 UIC students, faculty, and staff can sign up for a number of software courses at ESRI's Virtual Campus FREE. Virtual Campus courses require that you have access to the internet and specific ESRI software, available in certain UIC labs, to complete course exercises.

But in order to take advantage of this opportunity, you must first obtain a special ESRI Course Access Code from UIC. Course Access Codes requested expire one (1) year from the date of issue. Each student has one (1) year to enroll in a course and complete the coursework.

Here's how to get the authorization code:

For UIC instructors registering an entire class in an ESRI Virtual Campus course as part of a larger UIC course:
The instructor should send an email with subject line ESRI online courses to software@uic.edu requesting registration for the ESRI course name(s) desired, and include the number of the UIC students to be registered. The ACCC software team will then send the necessary codes, along with more detailed instructions on registering at the ESRI Virtual Campus site, back to the instructor, who can then give these to the UIC students within the class, who then individually self-register at the ESRI Virtual Campus Website.

For individual UIC students, faculty, or staff who wish to register for an ESRI Virtual Campus course:
You should send an email with subject line ESRI online courses to software@uic.edu requesting registration for the ESRI course name(s) desired, and include your name and email address. The ACCC software team will then send you the necessary codes so you can then self-register at the ESRI Virtual Campus Website, along with more detailed instructions on registering at the ESRI Virtual Campus site.

The following courses were included in the ESRI Virtual Campus Training Subscription for Site License and ArcGIS LAB KIT Institutions as of October 12, 2004. Please check the ESRI Virtual Campus FAQs at http://campus.esri.com/campus/support for any updates.
