Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is there a lot of training involved in learning how to use these phones? A: VoIP phones are easy to use - if you know how to use a regular telephone then you will be able to operate a VoIP telephone with little to no training. Advanced features of the telephones may require additional instruction but we have face to face training sessions available. To request a training session please email us at voip@uic.edu. Q: Can I have a VoIP phone? A: It depends upon where you are located on campus please email us at voip@uic.edu to find out if you are in a VoIP friendly location. Q: How do I get to the speed dial numbers that aren't displayed on the screen or associated with a button? A: Without picking up the phone, dial the number ordinal (7-99) and then press the AbbrDial key and it will dial the speed dial. |
