Softphone Users – Required Update: After our recent Call Manager upgrade there are a few changes that are required in order for your softphone client to work. Please follow the instructions listed below 1. Click on ‘Start’ – ‘Programs’ – ‘Cisco IP Communicator’ – ‘Cisco IP Communicator’. 2. Click on ‘Menu’. 
3. Click on ‘Properties’. 
4. Click on ‘Use this Device Name’ and ‘Use these TFTP servers’ Enter the following TFTP server IP addresses: 128.248.1.163 128.248.1.166 
Click ‘OK’. 5. If you’re off campus first launch OpenVPN before launching IP Communicator. If you have any issues please open a ticket with us at voip@uic.edu. Please include your name, netid and campus phone number. |
