Mailing list

There is a mailing list for those working on the project: subscribe by sending an e-mail to LISTSERV@UIC.EDU with this command in the body of your message: "subscribe imagebase" (leave off the quotation marks).

The Sandbox

The "working" section of the imagebase (works in progress not yet integrated into the main site) is called the Sandbox and can be found at http://www.uic.edu/depts/ahaa/imagebase/sandbox.

HTML and Scanning guidelines

• Scanning tips can be found here.
• The beige color used for the Imagebase background is #CCCC99.
• The blue used for navigation bars is #003366.
• The ftp path for uploading files to tigger is "/usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/depts/ahaa/imagebase/"
• Please attend as many of the Computer Center's excellent web publishing seminars as possible. At the very least,thoroughly review the online materials for these three seminars:
  • Introduction to Unix
  • Introduction to HTML
  • Introduction to Image Editing
