UIC alumnus Michael Branigan and Matt Stone, Sandbox's principals and owners, created the scholarship so talented design students have
           equal opportunities to receive a top-notch education.
                 For Ortiz, it not only lifted the financial burden of loan payments coming due, but more importantly affirmed he's doing the right thing at the right place.
