Directions on How to get to the UIC Campus from Hotels
Crown Plaza Hotel (Located 5 blocks to UIC)
Walk: about 10 minutes, 5 city blocks south
Walk south on Halsted 5 blocks to Harrison Street. Cross the street and you will be at the UIC campus. Follow the sidewalk path to enter the campus. The sidewalk will split, stay on the left side to the Lecture hall.
Walk south on Halsted 5 blocks to Harrison Street. Cross the street and you will be at the UIC campus. Follow the sidewalk path to enter the campus. The sidewalk will split, stay on the left side to the Lecture hall.
#8 Halsted St. Bus to Harrison $2.00[Every 10 minutes]
Cross Halsted St. to the opposite side of the hotel to the nearest bus stop. Take the #8 Halsted bus) south. Exit at Harrison St. (the stop right after the blue-line stop). When you exit the bus you will be on the campus. Take the sidewalk path onto campus. The sidewalk will split, merge to the left and continue to the lecture center.

Take the #7 Harrison Bus (away from the lake) to Halsted St. Cross Harrison and follow the sidewalk onto campus. You will turn left at Grant Hall (New glass building) and follow that sidewalk to the lecture centers, located on the right.

Walk about 10 blocks west, over the river to Halsted Street. Enter the campus from Harrison (½ block past Halsted) turn left and take the sidewalk path to the lecture center. You will turn left at Grant Hall (New glass building) and follow that sidewalk to the lecture centers, located on the right.

Walk two blocks west of the Hostel to the Blue Line entrance on LaSalle St. Enter the subway and take train in the direction of Forest Park (if unsure, ask an attendant which direction to take to UIC). Exit the train at UIC. Take the ramp/exit in the middle (there are three exits from the train to the campus). Cross Harrison St. Follow the path to UIC.
