Robert Daugherty:

Although not actively involved in theoretical reasearch at the present time, I can provide some basic advice and direction. In the day-to-day arena, there are fundamental methodologies employed that be used elsewhere, particularly in applied or operational research. Am willing to help in this way and, when out of my depth, point to other sources of information/training. I can help set goals/benchmarks and help people meet those, irrespective of their area of research.

My experience with the P&T process, internally and beyond the library, extends over many years. Although it was long, long ago that I chaired the Library P&T Cmte, I have been active in cmte. activities, including task-forces and sub-committees as well as serving as liaison on an on-going basis.

Having served on and chaired committees/task-forces in the Library, campus senate, ILA/IACRL, and ALA (especially LAMA), I can help guide colleagues in identifying service groups that coincide with career interests.
