JCLC raffle tickets

This is sent on behalf of JCLC (Joint Conference of Librarians of Color) Steering Committee and CALA (Chinese American Librarian Association) Midwest Chapter. The 1st Joint Conference for Librarians of Color will take place from October 11 to 15, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. www.ala.org/ala/olos/libassocofcolor/jclc06callforproposals.htm

At the 2005 ALA annual conference in Chicago, the JCLC Steering Committee launched the first run of fundraising to sell 1000 raffle tickets. The grand prize is $1000 in cash, and the winner needs not to be present to claim the prize. It will be drawn at the 2006 ALA midwinter in San Antonio. There is also a bonus prize of $100 cash for people who have sold 50 or more tickets.

The ticket price is $5 each and $20 for 5 tickets.

If your are interested in buying raffle tickets, please email to Li Fu at lifu@uic.edu . Check should be made payable to CALA (Chinese American Library Association) with "JCLC raffle" written in the memo line. You will be notified when the tickets are ready for you to pick up. Please fill in your name, phone number and email address on the top part of the raffle ticket. Since these raffles are printed on glossy paper, it works best with a permanent ink pen. The completed stubs should be mailed to Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin, 3430 Willow Wind Dr., Pfafftown, NC 27040 by January 7, 2006 to be eligible for the drawing.
