posted on June 21, 1999 by Ying Liang (mailto:y-liang@govst.edu) Program Committee Chair to CALA-Midwest listserv
Dear CALA Midwest Chapter Members:
The CALA Midwest Chapter 1999 Annual Conference was successfully held on May 8 at Loyola University in downtown Chicago, entitled "DIVERSITY AND COMMUNICATION: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES. It was a warm and exciting gathering. This meeting was also involved in those people who are from the Special Library Association and the other organizations.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Marian Chou, President of the Midwest Chapter for her great effort in organizing such a diverse meeting. Thanks also go to Program Committee members, Ling-Li Chang, Pei-Ling Wu, Susan Tsui, especially to Ling-Li Chang, who did a lot of detail work for organizing our conference at Loyola University. I should mention all the members from other committees, who also contributed a lot to this conference. We all know that without their efforts, their time, and their contributions this successful meeting would not have happened.
The following is the feedback from the evaluation forms collected from the conference site and also received from the mail. The total evaluation forms were received are 26. I only list big 3 questions from the evaluation forms as follows. I thought these suggestions and opinion are very important for our future activities and conference. But if any of you need a complete info. from question 1 through question 8 in the form, please let me know.
