Under the Ohio Contact Shuh-JiuanChen's coordination, Ohio Chinese librarians got together in Columbus on April 16, Saturday. They are Mingyu Chen and Shuh-Jiuan Chen from OCLC, Xudong Jin from OWU, Guoqing Li from OSU, Haipeng Li from Oberlin College, Xiaoya Li from Yunnan University in China, Zhiyuan Tian, Wei Yan, and Liren Zheng from OU, Hairong Zhu from Kent State and others. Librarians introduced themselves to the group. Shuh-Jiuan described the purpose of the gathering. Haipeng and others shared their experience with CALA. Xudong encouraged people to attend forthcoming CALAMW Annual Program in Bloomington in May. Most people visited Ohio State University Library and Guoqing presented OSU Library's Renovation Project.People really liked the event and wish to have it again. If other states in Midwest Chapter have not done one gathering, I would encourage the state contacts to contact Chinese librarians in your state and arrange one soon.
