NEW On-line Request Form for CCTS Services

The CCTS has launched its NEW on-line, integrated system for requesting services. This simple system allows you to have one account for all your projects and service requests. To create your account, you will need to fill in a few screens ONCE with your name, department info, e-mail address, and other general information. Then, just add your project info ONCE. Clinical Interface Core (CIC): Provides the UIC research community with a physical facility and a core of clinical research professionals (including nurses, study coordinators, and dieticians) trained in data collection, development of source documentations, adverse event reporting, protection of research subjects, orientation of other professionals to clinical research facilitation, and education of subjects regarding clinical research.

Design and Analysis Core (DAC): Offers complete consultative services to investigators in the conceptualization, design, conduct, and analysis of their research studies. Study design development, protocol review; instrument and data collection design; randomization, random sampling; sample size determination/ power analysis; and data analysis and reporting.

Regulatory Support and Advocacy Core (RSAC): Offers customized services to meet your needs: Concierge services that include a coordinated and simplified approach to regulatory compliance tasks; Research Participant Advocacy; and education and training programs on regulatory topics.

Biomedical Informatics (BI) Core:Offers assistance to investigators in understanding processes for using UIMCC medical records data for research purposes and coordinating research requests involving VA data with the VA Information Resource Center (VIReC).  Provides help in finding collaborators using the UICollaboratory, a research social networking tool that contains profiles of health science faculty members at UIC and UIUC. The BI Core also provides educational opportunities and technical assistance.

Community Engagement and Research Core (CERC): Focuses on three primary aims: building and augmenting collaborative research partnerships; supporting community-centered, culturally competent research; and ensuring dissemination of research findings to promote policy change.

Research Education and Careers in Health (REACH): Offers mentoring services: Professional Development Consultation, to help junior faculty in crafting a professional development plan to reach long-termcareer goals aswell as detail the immediate next steps, and Grant Reviews, providing investigators interested in clinical and translational research with knowledgeable and timely feedback prior to submitting proposals for extramural funding.

Matchmaking Service: The CCTS may help you in forming collaborations or collaborative research groups through our matchmaking service. The Novel Translational and Collaborative Studies component of the CCTS, with the aid of the CCTS Translational Research Academy, and information gathered through the biomedical informatics infrastructure, will identify and catalyze new collaborations leading to team-based translational projects.
