Call for Participation

Topic:            Women’s Health Medicine – Part I: Therapeutic Strategies: Platform and                       Specific Approaches to Uterine and Ovarian Pathology

Date:              Friday, June 15, 2007

Location:       Illinois Science + Technology Park, Skokie, Illinois

Become part of an ongoing forum to bring life science researchers from universities and companies together to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and explore potential collaborations to promote commercialization.  At this forum, you will address problems that need to be solved for the greater public good and explore opportunities to move research from the bench to the bedside.

This forum is the third in a series of collaborations between Midwest area universities and pharmaceutical firms.  The past two meetings were held at Rush University and Baxter Healthcare. The forum will provide a unique combination of presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking.

Faculty members active in areas pertaining to this topic are invited to submit an abstract of their work of no more than 250 words.  Criteria for consideration will include the:

• stage of development of the research
• relevance to the treatment or cure of diseases
• commercial impact

Research must relate to therapeutic approaches dealing with Gynecology Medicine. 

Criteria for consideration, as weighted below, include the:

    * stage of development of the research -- 20%
    * relevance to the treatment or cure of diseases -- 40%
    * commercial impact -- 40%
