Title: Grant & Contract Proposals

Conflict of Commitment and Interest

External activities that enhance academic staff members’ professional skills or constitute public service can benefit the University as well as the individual. However, because such activities can lead to conflicts of commitment or interest, they must be disclosed and monitored. The resources available from this page will help you manage conflicts, complete the mandatory annual Reports of Non-University Activities, and access relevant policies.

RNUA Forms & Instructions The resources available from this page will help you complete the mandatory annual reports of non-University activities. Here you will find the RNUA forms and full instructions for both academic staff and Unit Executive Officers.
Managing Conflicts of Interest at UIC Conflicts of interest and conflicts of commitment are rooted in the situation. Disclosing a conflict does not imply that anyone is behaving improperly. Because most conflicts can be managed, this page presents information to help academic staff work with their unit Executive Officers to manage conflicts.
RNUA Form & Instructions This page presents the policies which are relevant to managing conflicts of interest and commitment. You will find some of the laws and statutes that serve as a foundation for our conflict of interest and commitment policy.
