UIC Student Research Forum 2008
Graduate and Professional Students
The UIC Student Research Forum is an event to showcase independent research undertaken
by Graduate and Professional Students at UIC. Students are invited
to submit their research abstracts online by 8:00 am Wednesday,
April 2, 2008. We expect over 100 abstracts to be submitted on a wide variety of topics
in the arts and sciences. Faculty and alumni judges rate the quality
of the presentations and award prizes in three categories – Physical
Sciences, Life Sciences and Humanities/Social Sciences.
The UIC Research Forum 2008 for Graduate and Professional Students will take
place:

Awards in each category:
First Place: $300
Second Place: $200
Third Place: $100
The UIC Award for Graduate Research
in the Environment and Peace (1 award): $1000
Student memberships in Sigma Xi are awarded
to the top three winners in each Sciences category as well.
Students need to be present during their assigned period for judging. Assignment
of time periods, 10:00 am - noon or from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm will be made one week
prior the forum. Presentation set up will be between 9:30 - 10am. Presentation
removal must be completed by 3pm, at which time prizes will be awarded.
