Campus Research Board (CRB)

The Campus Research Board (CRB) serves in an advisory capacity to the Vice Chancellor for Research. Specific Committee activities include the peer review for intramural seed funding and limited extramural competitions, communicating college and department level research priorities, and identifying commonalities across colleges to strengthen UIC’s proposal submissions while helping to meet campus strategic goals. The Committee also advises the Vice Chancellor for Research in matters related to researcher recognitions and rewards.

The CRB is composed of four subcommittees:

  • Basic Life Sciences;
  • Clinical Sciences;
  • Natural Sciences & Engineering; and
  • Social Sciences & the Humanities.
CRB members are drawn from all colleges and varying disciplines. Member appointments are made on rotating 1 to 3 year terms running from September through August. Click here for the current member roster.
