Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation New Faculty Awards ProgramInternal Competition CompletedPrincipal Investigator selected: Dr. Ying Liu - Chemical Engineering. Program SummaryThis program supports the scholarly activity of new faculty in Ph.D.-granting departments in the chemical sciences, including biochemistry, materials chemistry, and chemical engineering. Awards are used to help initiate their independent research programs. Recommendations for awards are based on evidence that the nominee has the potential to produce an independent body of scientific scholarship of outstanding quality and will make significant contributions to education in the chemical sciences Awards$50,000 over five years for unrestricted research. Award is generally approved before the new faculty members formally begin their first tenure-track appointments. No indirects. Award can not be used to defray salary. EligibilityFaculty members must start their first tenure-track appointment in 2008 to be eligible for nomination in 2008. LimitOne per institution. Additional Information
