Program Summary

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health, invites applications from investigators willing to participate under a cooperative agreement as Core Clinical Centers in the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN), a collaborative multicenter clinical program that promotes the efficient comparison of novel treatment approaches and management strategies for potential benefit of children and adults undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.  This is an open competition for the renewal of an existing network.
An applicant for a Core Clinical Center may request a six- year project period and a base, administrative budget of up to $110,000 direct costs in the first budget period and up to $115,000 direct costs in each of the subsequent budget periods.  Protocol-related expenses will be allocated through the DCC.   

UIC is restricted to one application.

OVCR may reserve submission slots for previously submitted but unfunded proposals that received highly competitive ratings from the external sponsor.  These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Vice Chancellor.  For consideration, copies of your complete reviews (not just summary) must be provided.

Depending upon the number of LOIs submitted, OVCR might be required to facilitate an internal peer review process to select UIC’s submission(s) to this program.  White paper instructions will be posted if necessary.
