NIH NIAID Clinical Trials in Organ Transplantation (U01) RFA-AI-08-015
Program Summary
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) invites new or renewal applications from groups of two (2) or more institutions to participate in the Clinical Trials in Organ Transplantation (CTOT) consortium, a cooperative investigative group that will conduct multi-site clinical trials (Phase 1, 2, or 3) or observational clinical studies with associated studies of immunologic mechanisms, in recipients of thoracic and abdominal organ transplants. The total project period for an application submitted in response to this funding opportunity may not exceed five (5) years. Direct costs are limited to $1.5 million per year for a five-year period.
UIC is restricted to one application.

These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Vice Chancellor. For consideration, scanned copies of your complete reviews (not just summary) must be included with LOI.

Depending upon the number of LOIs submitted, OVCR might be required to facilitate an internal peer review process to select UIC’s submissions to this program. White paper instructions will be issued to those submitting LOIs, if necessary.
