Recovery Act Limited Competition: Framework Programs for Global Health Signature Innovations Initiative (R24) RFA-OD-10-007Internal Competition CompletedPrincipal Investigators Selected:
Program SummaryThis NIH Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), supported by funds provided to the NIH under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (“Recovery Act” or “ARRA”), Public Law 111-5, invites applications from U.S. institutions and their partners to enhance the infrastructure and opportunities at the participating institutions for training postdoctoral investigators to carry out innovative, multidisciplinary research in Global Health. The initiative emphasizes hands on, problem solving, and collaborative approaches and may require the development of new training models and new partnerships within and beyond the university community. The Fogarty International Center intends to commit up to $2.7 million under this FOA. It is anticipated that 6-10 awards will be made for fiscal year 2010, pending the number and quality of applications and availability of funds. For this funding opportunity, the requested budget may not exceed $250,000 (single academic institutions) or $400,000 (consortia- see definitions under Section II.2) direct costs per year for a one-year project period. Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs are limited to up to 8% of direct costs. UIC is restricted to one application although UIC may also participate as members of consortia on applications submitted through other institutions. Additional Information Deadlines
