Partnerships (MSP)

Description
The Math and Science Partnership program is a major
research and development effort that supports innovative partnerships
to improve K-12 student achievement in mathematics and science. Projects
are expected to both raise the achievement levels of all students and
significantly reduce achievement gaps in the mathematics and science
performance of diverse student populations.

This
solicitation supports two types of projects. The Institute Partnerships
component is limited to one submission. The Research, Evaluation
and Technical Assistance (RETA) component has no submission limitation.
Institute Partnerships – Teacher Institutes for the 21st Century is especially for the science disciplines in the secondary grades and
for elementary
science specialists.

Awards
Each Institute Partnership award will be made for up
to 5-year durations and for average annual budgets up to $1M.

Internal Competition Guidelines
Interested parties should submit one electronic white paper
(single PDF document) by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 14 to ahalford@uic.edu containing the following:
No more than three (3) pages addressing:
- How your proposal addresses the intent
of Program Announcement
- What the PI and team expect to accomplish and
its overall significance
In addition, please attach:
- (1) page cumulative budget with one (1) page justification
- Vitae (2 page)
with current and pending support (1 page) for PI and each Co-PI
