NSF Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) 04-525Program SummaryThis program seeks to identify outstanding mentoring efforts that enhance the participation of groups (i.e., women, minorities, and persons with disabilities) that are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Nominees can only be considered for one of the two categories of award – either “individual” or “organization” but not both. Nominees must have demonstrated outstanding and sustained mentoring and effective guidance to a significant number of students at the K-12, undergraduate or graduate education levels for at least five years. Candidate individual or organization must be nominated by a colleague, administrator, or student. Individual nominees must be U.S. citizen. Awards: $10,000 - it is expected the award will be used to continue mentoring activities. Awardees will be honored at a White House ceremony and receive a Presidential certificate. No indirect costs allowed. UIC is allowed one nomination. Additional Information Deadlines
