Program Summary
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization raising funds for childhood cancer
research. These one-year grants are for specific research projects which are hypothesis driven and may be either laboratory or clinical in nature. Average grants will be $100,000 or less.
UIC is restricted to one application.

Due to the short time frame before the sponsor’s mandatory LOI deadline, UIC researchers who want to submit to this program must submit a one page white paper by 3:00 p.m. January 26 to RDS@UIC.edu . Late papers NOT accepted. You will be notified by close of business on January 27th of the outcome

White Paper Guidelines
1) Cover sheet with following information:
- Name & departmental affiliation of PI, Co-PIs, senior personnel
- Sponsor and sponsor program name
- Working Title of project
- PI Contact Information
- Unit Business Manager or Grant Coordinator contact information
2) One (1) page summary of this proposed research project, including overall goal, methodology and significance, as well as how your proposal addresses the mission of the sponsor.
3) Two page Biosketch for PI and key personnel
4) 1 page current and pending support for PI and key personnel
