NSF Career Award Workshop

The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Research is hosting "Writing for the Reviewer: NSF CAREER Awards" a symposium about writing successful National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Grants. This event will feature researchers from several academic disciplines sharing personal insights and practical advice for preparing compelling proposals taken directly from their experience as an applicant or panel reviewer. Seating is limited and an RSVP is required.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the NSF's most prestigious awards in support of the early career-development activities of those teacher-scholars who most effectively integrate research and education within the context of the mission of their organizations. Such activities should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of integrated contributions to research and education.

"Writing for the Reviewer: NSF CAREER Awards" will take place on Tuesday, April 10 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m in Room 613 of the Student Center East (750 South Halsted Street).

Please RSVP to the OVCR at 312-996-4995 by Tuesday, April 3.

Specific eligibility information about the NSF CAREER Award program can be found at http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2005/nsf05579/nsf05579.htm
