Writing for the Reviewer Symposium – NIH K Research Career Awards
The Office for the Vice Chancellor of Research is hosting “Writing
for the Reviewer: NIH K Series Research Career Awards” a symposium about
writing successful NIH K Series Grants. A light breakfast will be served.
Seating is limited and an RSVP is required.
K Series Research Career Awards are used to support the intellectual growth
and research experience of scientists at different points of their career,
from post docs to established investigators. For newer researchers K awards
can provide opportunities for mentoring and comprehensive research experience
leading to independence. K Awards also are used to facilitate the intellectual
growth and continued research productivity of more seasoned scientists.
“Writing for the Reviewer: NIH K Series Research Career Awards” will
take place on Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. until noon in Chicago
Room A of the Student Center West (828 SouthWolcott Avenue). Please RSVP to
Mr. Anthony Halford at ahalford@uic.edu by Friday September 15, 2006.
OVCR’s "Writing for the Reviewer" symposium series showcases
grant writing success stories built around a common theme. Each symposium
features researchers sharing personal insights and practical advice for preparing
compelling proposals taken directly from their experience as an applicant
or panel reviewer.
