Electronic Research Administration (eRA) is essentially managing research
administration electronically. eRA utilizes resources such as the Internet,
the World Wide Web, form templates, databases, and other electronic tools
for all aspects of research administration, including searching for funding
opportunities, submitting proposals, and tracking progress on submitted proposals.
To facilitate this change in research administration, the University of Illinois
uses an electronic grants management system, UIeRA for
all three campuses, Chicago (including Peoria and Rockford), Urbana-Champaign
and Springfield.
