Grants.gov:
Introduction
Overview
Grants.gov is a central storehouse
for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately
$400 billion in annual awards. Federal grant-making agencies have partnered
with Grants.gov creating a single and secure Internet source for all Federal
grants. The 26
Federal agencies that award grants and cooperative agreements are actively
implementing grants.gov through interagency work groups and are developing
common data elements, electronic processes and uniform administrative rules
across agencies. When preparing a submission, be sure to read your solicitation
carefully to determine if submission through Grants.gov is required.
To compliment the new grants.gov submission initiative, the University
of Illinois has developed and is rolling out the UI eRA system for the
administration of sponsored projects and the submission of electronic
proposals. For more information visit the UI
eRA web site.
