Grants.gov is separated into two main functions, Find Grant Opportunities and Apply for Grants. The Find Grant Opportunities function allows you to search for thousands of funding opportunities made available by the 26 federal grant-making agencies.
By the end of FY 2006, the 26 federal grant-making agencies expect to post 100% of their funding opportunities online at Grants.gov.
By accessing the Grants.gov web site, you can select the Find Grant Opportunities tab, which will provide you with multiple search options to find different grant opportunities. Some of these options include searching by keyword, agency and category.
