Submission Reminders
- Read your solicitation carefully to determine the due date as it can
range from the date received by Grants.Gov or the date downloaded by
the agency.
- PI’s submitting NIH applications through Grants.gov must be
registered with the NIH Commons.
NIH recommends registering in the NIH Commons at least
2 weeks prior to the Grants.gov application deadline. To obtain a Commons
user account, please contact Gwen Daniels in
ORS for assistance.
- PAF Section I must be marked “yes” for
electronic submission
- PAF Section V CFDA # should be provided (this
number will be available for all proposals submitted through Grants.gov)
- Grants.gov currently uses the Federal Standard Form (SF) 424 R & R
(Research & Related), please
see our standard
institutional information
for completing this form.
- Different representations & certifications (otherwise referred to
as Rep's & Cert's) may be required to be completed during the application
process, please contact ORS for questions and assistance at 312-996-2862
on
completing these forms.
- Check your application for errors prior to sending to ORS
for submission. Grants.gov will not allow the application to be submitted
with errors.
- As with all electronic systems, technical difficulties can
occur. Planning ahead and working with ORS in advance will help to
ensure successful submission
of your proposal.
- If collaborating with a Small Business Concern (SBC) on a NIH STTR
grant use UIC’s Certification of Research Institution Participation
