  • 5:00 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 for IBC protocols.
In addition, to allow time for the review and approval process prior to the reduced service schedule, modifications eligible for administrative or designated review must be submitted by 9 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2009.

There are numerous regulations at both the state and federal level, which govern the purchase of, access to and use of controlled substances.  The OACIB in conjunction with the Biologic Resources Laboratory, and the UIC Ambulatory Care Pharmacy is responsible for oversight of the program at UIC that regulates controlled substance use in animal and laboratory research.

The goal of the OACIB is to facilitate the process for the investigator and to ensure compliance of with federal and state regulations.
Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the use of controlled substances in animal or laboratory research.
