Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS) 2011 Holiday Schedule
The Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS) will observe the UIC reduced service schedule for non-essential services that begins on Monday, December 26th.

OPRS will not be accepting submissions after December 19, 2011 to allow OPRS to focus its efforts on completing the review of submitted proposals before the University implements reduced service days.

OPRS will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2011, and will reopen at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

We encourage you to have your submissions in by November 30, 2011 to ensure the review is completed by December 22. Please be mindful of your expiration date.
Convened submissions will be processed based on the current submission/meeting schedule. -
Please refer to the OPRS Web Site for the specific deadline and meeting dates.

If your protocol expires before January 15, 2012, please have your Continuing Review in to OPRS four weeks ahead of the expiration date to prevent a lapse.

Holiday hours also apply to the East Side Satellite office. OPRS will begin accepting submissions again on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Requests for emergency use of an investigational drug or device may continue to be submitted during this time.
