What do I need to take before I can get involved in research?
- Investigator 101
- Live session: see calendar
- Online: CITI Initial Course
These are the ONLY beginning programs that qualify. They cannot be substituted. If you are from another institution, call Laurie Kennard at 312 413-9175 to see if that HSP training will qualify at UIC.
AND
- HIPAA research training
- ONLY required for investigators and key research personnel who are involved in research utilizing protected health information (PHI).
- HIPAA taken at other institutions WILL NOT qualify
- You must attend or complete the on-line course within the first three (3) months of employment.
