“Chicago Regional Membership Meeting: Diabetes & Obesity”

UIC Forum

The purpose of this conference is to convene a group of experts as well as interested academic scientists and physicians to hear and discuss latest information regarding the causes, treatment and potential preventive measures and public policy implications for the rising rates of diabetes and obesity in the United States. The conference will be held at the UIC Forum near downtown Chicago and will draw participation from the Institute of Medicine, leading universities in Chicago and the Midwest, and other interested members of the academic community including medicine, the sciences, the humanities, public policy, and government. This conference is co-sponsored by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and the UIC College of Medicine.
