The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is proud to be hosting the June 2008 Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration on behalf of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Extramural Research.  This seminar is intended to help demystify the application and review process, clarify federal regulations and policies, and highlight current areas of special interest or concern.  The seminar serves the NIH mission of providing education and training for the next generation of biomedical and behavioral scientists.  NIH policy officials, grants management and program staff, as well as representatives from the Office for Human Research Protections and the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, will interact with seminar participants and provide a broad array of expertise.  The sessions are appropriate for grants administrators, new and experienced researchers, and graduate students.

For questions regarding logistics or registration, please contact Jacqueline Berger at nihseminar@uic.edu or telephone 312-996-4995. Questions regarding the agenda may be addressed to Cynthia Dwyer at Dwyerc@mail.nih.gov.

This seminar has not been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the National Institutes of Health.
