MOBITRAC Named One of Chicago's Top 50
Mobitrac has been named one of Chicago’s top 50 emerging companies by I-Street magazine in its November 2001 issue. These top 50 private companies were chosen based upon their identification as emerging industries with a high potential for growth.
UIC computer science professor Ouri Wolfson is the founder and chief scientist at Mobitrac, a one-year-old UIC startup. Dr. Wolfson is one of the world's top experts in the technology of tracking multiple mobile objects and has created a platform program that can greatly enhance the efficiency of location-based services like air traffic control, mobile commerce and fleet management.
