Recent Placements

Our graduates continue to accomplish the wonderful things!

Gregory Holyk has accepted a research analyst position at Langer Research Associates in New York. Led by Gary Langer, ABC's longtime director of polling, Langer Research Associates works as the network's primary news poll provider. Greg will be joining an excellent team of researchers. Among the senior advisers to Langer Research Associates are some of the country's top scholars in survey research, such as Robert Y. Shapiro, a professor  Political Science at Columbia University, Jon A. Krosnick at Stanford University, and Patrick Moynihan, who is currently assistant director of the Program on Survey Research at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University.  Lager Research associates recent research projects include research, questionnaire design and analysis of a survey on policing for the United Nations Development Program in Afghanistan; questionnaire design and methodological review for a national survey in Yemen for the Broadcasting Board of Governors; management of a national canvass of Tea Party affiliates for The Washington Post.  Greg will be contributing to Langer associates' research as an expert in statistical analysis, statistical modeling and survey methodology. In his academic publications, Greg has already been contributing to the scholarship on public opinion, American politics, foreign policy to international relations.

Recent Graduate Annika Hinze has accepted a tenure track position in urban/comparative politics at Fordham University. It would be safe to say this ranks the among the most competitive positions in urban/comparative politics in the nation this year. Fordham's Political Science department where Annika will continue her research and teaching has a strong graduate program and an excellent group of faculty. The department's recent hires include the graduates of Columbia University and the University of Toronto. Annika will be filling the position left by one of the most well- known urban scholars, Paul Kantor. 

Annika's success speaks to her excellent work, the great potential of our graduate program and strength of our faculty.  Congratulations to Dr. Hinze for this well deserved accomplishment!
