Welcome to the Web portal for the Community Engagement and Research Core (CERC) of the UIC Center for Clinical Translational Science.We are one of the six cores within Center for Clinical and Translational Science.
The primary aims of CERC are:
Collaborative Research Partnerships
Build new and augment established collaborative research partnerships among UIC investigators, health services collaborators and community partners to create an expanded community-centered research agenda.
Community-Centered, Culturally Competent Research
Expand culturally competent, community-centered research by being an access point for:
(a) bidirectional (investigator-community) training
(b) dialogues to forge novel avenues for science
(c) research data and resources information
(d) support the recruitment and retention of individuals from underserved populations into studies.
Dissemination and Policy Change
Optimize dissemination of emerging research findings and promote their translation into effective community programs and policies.
C3 - Call for Abstracts
C3 invites poster abstracts from entities (e.g., community, academic, government, industry) that are using community‐engaged approaches to address disparities in health across the Chicago land area. For more details click here
