The Department of African American Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago is a vibrant department that includes an undergraduate program and faculty from numerous disciplines. Throughout the year, the Department organizes and co-sponsors events, seminars and workshops pertaining to African American Studies. Given our urban location and commitment to community engagement, our department offers an exciting opportunity for all students interested in learning about the Black experience.
