The Centre staff consist of the faculty of the College of Pharmacy. However, the primary faculty members involved in Centre activities resides in the Program for Collaborative Research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences (PCRPS) of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. A list of senior staff and their areas of expertise follows:

Norman R. Farnsworth, Centre Director. Distinguished University Professor and Director, Programme for Collaborative Research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Expertise: Pharmacognosy (biology/pharmacology and chemistry of natural products drug agents); natural products drug discovery research; traditional medicine; herbal medicine/dietary supplements uses and regulation; medicinal plant formularies and monographs.

Harry H. S. Fong, Centre Associate Director and Programme Coordinator. Professor Emeritus of Pharmacognosy, Programme for Collaborative Research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy.
Expertise: Pharmacognosy (biology/pharmacology and chemistry of natural products drug agents); natural products drug discovery research; traditional medicine; herbal medicine/dietary supplements uses and quality control (QC) analysis and standardization; medicinal plant monographs and research guidelines; medicinal plant sourcing by Good Agriculture and Collection practice (GACP).

Gail B. Mahady, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
Expertise: Clincial pharmacognosy (biology/pharmacology and chemistry of natural products drug agents); traditional medicine; herbal medicine/dietary supplements uses; medicinal plant monographs.

D. Doel Soejarto, Professor of Pharmacognosy and Biology.
Expertise: Medical botany; medicinal plant sourcing by Good Agriculture and Collection practice (GACP); biodiversity conservation; and intellectual property rights of plant genetic materials.

Donald P. Waller, Professor of Pharmacology (Retired).
Expertise: Reproductive biology and toxicology.

Guido Pauli, Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy.
Expertise: Pharmacognosy, natural products drug discovery chemistry; standardization, quality control and bioactive marker determination of botanical dietary supplements and traditional medicine.

Jimmy Orjala, Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy.
