Project Millennium Off-campus Events

The calendar of city events included:

• The Millennium Walk (June, 2000): Over 1,000 seniors will be invited to make the Millennium Walk from Madison St. along the lakefront up to Armitage.

Chicago School's Quilt Project Through a partnership between the Department of Cultural Affairs, Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE), and the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago public elementary and high school teachers and students are learning quilting techniques and creating quilts which will be permanently displayed in public spaces such as branch libraries, community centers, Chicago Park District facilities and the new headquarters of the Chicago Board of Education.
