gzip
GZip is the GNU compression utility package. GZip's gzip command
produces compressed files with the .gz extension.
The GZip commands can handle files compressed with gzip, zip, compress,
compress -H, and pack. The z* commands in this package process compressed
files with having to uncompress the files first.
For example, zcat file.gz will print a compressed
file to the terminal.
For: Unix.
