Credit Non-Degree
NOTE: Applications to the "Non-degree Public Health" program are no longer
being accepted for Summer 2010.
Thank you for your interest in the Credit Non-Degree (CND) option offered by the School of Public Health at UIC. The CND program offers interested persons a limited opportunity to register for public health courses in a credit non-degree status. Twelve semester hours of course credits and letter grades earned by credit non-degree students may be transferred toward a degree program upon the student's acceptance as a degree candidate and with the consent of the academic division to which the student has been admitted.
Credit non-degree students are accepted every semester. Students must register for at least one course for the term in which they are accepted. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the student’s standing at the University.
The number of credit non-degree seats available each term is limited. Admission is granted on a first come, first serve basis. Students are strongly encouraged to apply early as once the School has reached its CND admission limit for the term, CND admissions will be closed regardless of the published application deadline. Admission as a credit non-degree student does not guarantee admission to any of the degree granting programs of the School.
Please visit the Admission page for instructions on how to apply, as well as important dates and deadlines for CND students.
