The overall aim of our laboratory is to further understand the molecular pathways that control ovarian gene expression. An in-depth knowledge of these regulatory networks will be instrumental in establishing the etiology of ovarian diseases as well as to develop accurate diagnostic tools and better treatment protocols. We are currently using in vitro and in vivo approaches to examine the role of intracellular signaling components such as transcription factors, kinases, and phosphatases in ovarian function.
