The next seminar will take place on Friday, February 19 at 2:30. We will discuss a paper by Anne Hanley (Northern Illinois University) entitled “Public Goods in Belle Époque Brazil.”
 
The Newberry Seminar on Latin American History is a forum for scholars to present their current research on any element of the Latin American past. It is open to graduate students, independent scholars, and faculty at any level of their careers. The 2009-2010 seminar will include presentations by Peter Beattie, Anne Hanley, Florencia Mallon, and Javier Villa Flores.
